Annual Taste of Vail featuresWinemaker Dinners
VAIL – The 15th Annual Taste of Vail, which started Wednesday, will feature Winemaker Dinners, pairing some of the country’s most celebrated vintners with the talents of Vail Valley’s innovative chefs.
“The Winemaker Dinners were created not only to highlight the great chefs that live and work in our own backyard, but to pair each chef’s unique cuisine with the perfect wine from the world-renowned wineries featured in the Taste of Vail,” said Susan Fritz, Taste of Vail board president. “The Taste of Vail places equal emphasis on both the food and wine elements of the event. The always popular Winemaker Dinners allow our chefs to showcase their talents inside their own restaurants alongside a chosen winemaker who will pair their wine with the menu selection.”Winemaker Dinners are independent of the festival’s Full Event Package. Contacting the restaurant directly to make reservations is recommended.
In its 15th year, the Taste of Vail is a spring food and wine festival held at several venues throughout Vail. During the annual four-day event, upwards of 4,000 people are able to “taste the Vail Valley lifestyle” which showcases Vail’s world-famous resort village set against mountain vistas. Participants at the Taste of Vail experience world-class restaurants, fine wine poured by winemakers and winery owners from top wineries around the globe, along with interactive seminars, an auction and dance, après ski tasting and the popular mountaintop picnic at the top of Vail Mountain. Proceeds from the Taste of Vail benefit Vail Valley charities. For more information, go to http://www.tasteofvail.com.
