VAIL, Colorado ” Snow should get heavier in Vail, Colorado Tuesday night and continue until Thursday, the National Weather Service says.

A winter storm warning is in effect from 11 p.m., Tuesday until 5 p.m., Thursday.

Areas along the Continental Divide and northwest facing slopes should get the heaviest snow, the Weather Service says.

Between one foot and two feet could fall by Thursday evening, the Weather Service says.

The Weather Service says mountain travel could become hazardous or impossible.

Vail Mountain is reporting nine inches of snow, and Beaver Creek, eight, in the last 24 hours.
