Answerland – Vail’s Four Seasons
What’s the straight story on the Four Seasons Hotel project? The building season has come and nearly gone with no sign of life again this year. Is this a project of Four Seasons Corp or an outside developer? Is there an undisclosed problem lurking?
The Four Seasons is working on getting a permit to remove groundwater, said Dave Brooks of the John Hardy Group. The developer is also still working on easement agreements with neighbors for shoring the $260 million project, he said.
Warren Campbell, a planner for the town of Vail, confirmed last week that the builder is waiting on the groundwater permit and is working through the shoring issues.
Last month, developer T.J. Brink said rumors are untrue that the project was suffering from financing problems. The developer is Black Diamond Resorts-Vail LLC.
The reporters at the Vail Daily will do their level best to find answers to questions you might have about life in our fair valley.
Is a pothole on your street swallowing large dogs and small cars? We’ll try to find out when the repair crew is coming. Are people speeding in the local school zone? We’ll ask the local police what they can do. Is that building going up down the street really going to be another Starbucks? We’ll see what we can find out.
E-mail your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll get right on it.
