VAIL, Colorado – Formed in a refugee camp during the Sierra Leone Civil War, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars will share their infectious reggae-style pop music at Spring Back to Vail, Vail Mountain’s end-of-season festival, scheduled for April 12 to 18. The All Stars’ concert will be held on April 16 at an outdoor venue in Vail Village and is the first act to be announced in the festival’s concert series. A public viewing of the band’s award-winning documentary, “Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars,” will be held on April 15 in Vail Square, located in Lionshead Village. The band’s concert at Spring Back to Vail will be its first public performance in Colorado to date and its first concert to follow the release of its new album, “Rise and Shine.” Born in the midst of a contentious, decade-long Civil War, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars have found a place of refuge through music. The band has seen the worst that this world can offer, yet, through its unflinching spirit and joyful sound, it is now sharing their message and music throughout the world. “We are thrilled to bring such a cosmopolitan, world-class act as Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars to Vail for the end-of-season bash,” said James Deighan, of Highline Sports & Entertainment, the event marketing company that produces Spring Back to Vail and books the concert line-up in conjunction with Vail Mountain.Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars will kick off Spring Back to Vail’s three-night concert series. The other two headliner acts have yet to be announced but will soon be released to the public. Visit http://www.springbacktovail.com for more information.
