Armed robber hits Fort Collins ice cream parlor

An armed robber held up an ice cream store in Fort Collins, showing a clerk a handgun before fleeing with cash.

The robbery happened at about 8 p.m. Monday at Rocky Mountain Blue Bell, 172 N. College Ave., according to a media release from the Fort Collins Police Department.

The armed robber is described as a white man in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a medium build. At the time of the robbery he wore a ski mask, a “puffy” black coat, and dark jeans.
