Arrowhead woman dies after ski accident

BEAVER CREEK, Colorado ” A 65-year-old Arrowhead, Colorado woman died at Vail Valley Medical Center following a skiing accident at Beaver Creek Friday.

June Kang, of Arrowhead, was in a skiing incident on the intermediate run Golden Bear Friday morning, Eagle County Coroner Kara Bettis said. Beaver Creek Ski Patrol responded around 11:15 a.m. Other details of the incident are unavailable at this time.

Ski patrol provided advanced life support and transported Kang to Vail Valley Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Beaver Creek Spokeswoman Jen Brown said Kang was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
