art in public places

The town of Vail’s Art in Public Places is collaborating with the Vail Public Library to prominently display works of art above the library’s fireplace on a rotating basis. This is an opportunity for Eagle County artists to have a work of art on view for a period of approximately three months. Information regarding the parameters, review process, deadlines and application may be found at www.artinvail.com or www.vailgov.com. Each artist or gallery is allowed to submit one work for each selection review. If selected, it is required that the work remain on view for the three-month period from Oct. 14 through Jan. 10. The application deadline for the next review is at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2. Contact Molly Eppard, AIPP coordinator, for more information at meppard@vailgov.com or 970-479-2344.
