BEAVER CREEK — David Jackson will be in residence at Paderewski Fine Art in Beaver Creek today through Sunday. Jackson’s latest collection will be on display, and the witty and energetic artist will explain his technique and offer tips to aspiring artists.

A native of Ogden, Utah, artist David Jackson’s interest in art began at an early age, and he has been working as a professional artist for more than 40 years. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree through Utah State University. After teaching high school art for 27 years, Jackson retired and started his next chapter as a professional artist.

Jackson is a strong supporter of numerous wildlife and charitable organizations, and while he is well known for his accurate depictions of wildlife and Western landscapes, his work is diverse and includes a wide variety of subjects. A richly colored, impressionistic style has afforded him the opportunity of showing his work in private collections and exhibitions throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Jackson has crafted monumental bronze sculptures for Weber State University, numerous high schools, private individuals and businesses. The artist loves new challenges and opportunities that provide him with creative resources, and he receives inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of his home and studio in Mountain Green, Utah.

Paderewski Fine Art is located in Beaver Creek, on the Plaza level of the Hyatt, across from the ice rink. Call 970-949-6036 or visit http://www.paderewskifineart.com for more information.
