Ascent Sotheby makes staff changes

VAIL — Leveraging internal talent and expertise, Ascent Sotheby’s International Realty announced recent staff shifts for Crystal “CJ” Jay to full-time broker associate and Patrick Barrett, broker associate, to an expanded role in international sales development, working directly with partner and co-owner Tye Stockton.

Prior to joining Ascent Sotheby’s in 2011, Jay served as clubhouse manager for Vail Mountain Club, where she helped open the new facility. Prior to that, she was clubhouse manager for the Club at Cordillera.

A Vail Valley resident since 2006, Jay grew up in the real estate industry in Panama City, Fla. She shifted to the real estate industry in 2011 when she was hired as executive assistant for Ascent Sotheby’s International Realty.

“CJ’s passion for learning and understanding the value of building relationships, coupled with her experience in dealing with clients from all over the world have enabled her to grow professionally and assume a more direct role in real estate sales,” managing broker Craig Denton said.

Barrett has assumed an expanded role to help grow Ascent Sotheby’s International Realty’s international sales division. Barrett will support Stockton in his day-to-day responsibilities in both domestic and international sales, with an instrumental focus on expanding the firm’s worldwide reach.

Barrett joined Ascent Sotheby’s International Realty in 2011 as sales assistant to The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail, sales team. He earned a promotion from sales assistant to broker associate in 2012.

“Patrick has been a key player in supporting Ascent Sotheby’s International Realty’s international clientele, which continues to grow,” Stockton said. “Having him on my day-to-day team will enable us to continue to expand our client base in this arena while still retaining the momentum and reputation we have with our domestic clients.”
