Athletic Club at The Westin to host ALP Cycles Coaching Camp, June 2-4
AVON — The Athletic Club at The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Avon is partnering with National Cycling Champion Alison Powers for an exclusive ALP Cycles Coaching Camp, a three-day high altitude training camp focusing on group road and climbing skills, to be held June 2-4.
Priced at $596 per person for the workshop only or $785 per person with lodging at The Westin Riverfront, the workshop includes three days of coaching and riding with Powers, kick-off happy hour on June 2, two special group fitness classes geared toward cyclists and one 50-minute massage at Spa Anjali, plus lunch, dinner and SuperFood recovery smoothies during the camp.
Open to all ability levels, participants should be comfortable riding 50 road miles with elevation gain. A support and gear vehicle will be provided.
Powers, founder and owner of ALP Cycles Coaching, has been coaching cyclists for eight years. Powers is a USA Cycling Level 2 certified coach, has a Training Peaks Level 1 certification and is certified as both a road and cyclocross racing coach. In 2014, Powers became the first person in history to win all three road discipline national championships in one year.
