VAIL – Have you ever wondered what happens at a music rehearsal? The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival invites you to attend Caution! Musicians at Work: Open Rehearsal 11 to noon Tuesday at the Vail Mountain School. Refreshments will be served and tickets are not required. Guests will have an opportunity to ask Bravo’s Artistic Director Eugenia Zukerman and Associate Director Lynne Mazza questions about the rehearsal process.

“The rehearsal process is quite an intricate one,” says Zukerman. “Being witness to all the work that goes on behind the music will enrich the concertgoer’s experience at the actual performance, and add a layer of understanding that other audience members may not have.”

Music from Tuesday night’s Captivating Classics concert will be rehearsed, which includes works by Mendelssohn, Schoenfield and Tchaikovsky and features Cellist Zuill Bailey, Pianist Orion Weiss, and violinist Erin Keefe.

Tickets for Tuesday night’s 6 p.m. concert, also at the Vail Mountain School, are $27 and are available for purchase during the rehearsal, by calling 877-812-5700 or at

Tonight’s concert, Music from the Heart, begins with selections from Mendelssohn’s Songs without Words for Cello and Piano and continues with Schoenfield’s Cafe Music. After intermission, Tchaikovsky’s Trio for Piano and Strings in A Minor will be performed.

A complimentary Performance Prelude takes place at 5 p.m. in the Vail Mountain School lobby. Eugenia Zukerman will discuss the evening’s repertoire.

“I am positive that anyone who comes to the Open Rehearsals and has not already purchased Captivating Classics tickets will be absolutely inspired to do so after hearing the magic made in the rehearsal process,” says Zukerman.
