BEAVER CREEK — Author Barbara Stafford will return to Karin’s, located at 117 Beaver Creek Plaza, for an “Eclectic Entertaining” book-signing event on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. Try samples of one of Stafford’s easy party appetizers and Valentine dessert, both from her cookbook. Stafford is a Highlands Ranch resident as well as an avid Vail and Beaver Creek skier.
“Eclectic Entertaining” is an award-winning and uniquely styled cookbook intended to resurrect the lost art of entertaining. The book contains 15 complete dinner party menus to choose from — each with appetizers, sides, salad, a main course and dessert — with a complete grocery list for each menu.
The book is organized to save the host/hostess time and energy when planning, shopping and cooking. The book becomes even easier to use when combined with your smart phone or tablet. Each chapter ends with a QR Code; easily scan and access the grocery list (organized by supermarket section) to eliminate the need for a hand-written list. If you like one or two items in the book but aren’t cooking for an entire dinner party, then easily touch any individual menu item and get the grocery list for that specific dish.
Books retail for $30 and are available online at http://www.eclectic-entertaining.com, at Karin’s and in other select retail locations. Check out the latest instructional cooking videos on YouTube and subscribe for alerts for future releases.
The acquisition extends a strategy of buying ski areas near big cities, with the hopes that local skiers will buy Epic Passes and visit the company’s owned and partner resorts across the country and world.
