Alpine Ambiance will host an event with writer Reid Lance Rosenthal, author of “Maps of Fate,” in Eagle Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Alpine Ambiance is located in downtown Eagle at 321 Broadway. Another booksigning will be held at the Riverwalk location, across from the movie theater, on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Rosenthal, a multi-award winning national author, will sign “Maps of Fate,” his second book in a multi-book series called Threads West. The series has received eight National Awards including Best Western 2010, Best Romance 2011, Best Historical Fiction 2011 and Best Design 2011, from the Independent Book Publishers, Indies, USA Book News, International Book Awards and other prestigious organizations. “Maps of Fate” was released in April. The third, “North to Wyoming,” will be available in fall of 2012.

Rosenthal comes from a long line of ranchers and owns interests in nine ranches in the western states. His long-standing devotion to wild and remote places, fierce respect for the American Spirit and values, and reverence for the people – both past and present – who leave their legend and footprint upon America and the West is the inspiration and descriptive underpinning of all of his writing.

“The energy of land inspires my writing,” Rosenthal said. “The land is an integral part of my soul, and the foundation of virtually all of my passions. My writings will certainly offer thoughts as to its betterment, use and preservation.”
