Avon Bakery & Deli contest is back
AVON — Avon Bakery & Deli has announced it will run its “Free Lunch for a Year” contest again in 2014. Applicants must be residents of Eagle County and can register online for free at http://www.avonbakery.com. Registration will be open through Wednesday.
Winners for the grand prize, as well as second- and third-place awards will be randomly drawn at noon on Thursday, during a live broadcast on KZYR. Free grab bags, hoodies/t-shirts, and VIP cards — good for a free sandwich or loaf of bread — will be given away during the drawing for all who attend.
Registration is requires a basic service questionnaire to be completed in order to be in the drawing. Third and second place winners will win free bread for the entire year of 2014, with the grand prize winner winning free lunch for all of 2014.
Anyone can participate and win free food and prizes in Avon Bakery & Deli’s weekly Facebook contest. Random questions will be posted on http://www.facebook.com/avonbakery once a week. The first five people to post the correct answer will all win. The first person with the correct answer will get a $25 gift card to Avon Bakery, with the four runners up all winning free VIP Cards good for a free loaf of bread or free sandwich. New this year in the contest is the opportunity for a local business to answer the correct question and receive a free catered lunch for up to 12 people in their office, or enjoy a free lunch party at the bakery.
The contest was first held in 2012 with the winner getting free lunch for all of 2013.
“The idea was born from a way to give back to the local community and also as a good way for us to get valuable feedback on ways to improve our services to our customers,” Avon Bakery owner Dan Trush said. “With such an overwhelming response from local patrons the contest has been turned into an annual event. We are really excited to be continuing this again in 2014!”
