Avon: Got ID? "Yeah, like six of them."
Avon, CO Colorado
AVON, Colorado “Whenever somebody figures out the identity of the man who witnesses say nearly hit 15 cars on Interstate 70 on Jan. 23, that person isn’t likely to stay in this country.
Police pulled the man over after receiving reports that man was driving crazy on the interstate. A cop went and waited on the highway median for the man, who soon cruised past him on the right shoulder of the highway. He then exited at Avon and decided to stop, hold up traffic at the roundabout for a little bit, then proceed directly to a gas pump at the Conoco station. He didn’t hit it, but after the officer parked his cruiser behind the man’s truck, the man backed up and hit its bumper.
A sobriety test wasn’t even necessary, the police report said. The driver couldn’t even get out of the car by himself and there were half-empty, or half-full, beer cans in the man’s truck.
Police took him to the police station, but couldn’t figure out who he really was because he had so many fake ID’s in his car, and he wouldn’t give his real name. The only thing he’d admit was that he was an illegal alien and he had a family to feed.
So police got the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement unit involved, and the man was placed on a detainer the next day.
