AVON –Avon is hosting its annual egg hunt on April 3 in Nottingham Park. Last year more than 2,000 kids joined in the fun and festivities.

This year’s event begins at 10 a.m. with an appearance by the Avon Bunny. Families can enjoy many activities including giant egg racing, inflatable obstacle course, planting station presented by Home Depot, carnival games, and the jelly bean guessing contest presented by Wishes Toy Store. There will also be a petting zoo, refreshments and of course, the hunt for over 10,000 eggs stuffed with candy and prizes.

Children can color the event advertisement in the Vail Daily and turn it in at the event to be entered into a coloring contest to win a paddleboat punch card for a fantastic summer of paddle boating on Nottingham Lake. Children can also pick up the advertisement at the Avon Recreation Center front desk.

This event is made possible through sponsorship support from First Bank of Avon, Vail Daily, Plum TV, Home Depot, Wishes Toy Store, KZYR True Local Radio, The Christie Lodge, The Parent’s Handbook and the town of Avon. Do not bring your pets to the event. This event is for children ages 9 and under.
