Avon hotel employee makes parking statement

AVON, Colorado “-A Kansas woman’s minivan was scratched after she parked it slightly over the drawn lines in the parking lot at an Avon, Colorado hotel.

She told police that she parked her car over the line because the car on her driver’s side was parked too far over into her space, so she needed to make room to get out.

The next morning she went to her car and there was a maroon Isuzu Trooper parked right next to it, just a few inches away, she told police. That’s when she noticed a big scratch on her passenger side door.

Police caught up with the owner of the Trooper, who is also an employee of the hotel. He told police that by parking so close to the woman’s minivan, he was trying to prove a point about parking between the designated lines. He denied causing the damage to her car.

Police don’t have any solid leads or evidence so there’s nothing they can do.
