Avon Nottingham Park master plan complete
Avon, CO Colorado
AVON, Colorado ” A plan for Nottingham Park in Avon, Colorado contemplates new picnic pavilions and restrooms, a fishing pier, a shallow wading area with water feature at the lakeshore, new pathway lighting, new kids and tots playground equipment and other improvements.
On Tuesday, the Harry A. Nottingham Park Master Plan will be presented at the Avon Town Council meeting for a public hearing and adoption by Town Council.
The public process began with community meetings to discuss potential changes and later included three public meetings and a community survey. The survey was useful in determining the most used areas in the park, the most-needed improvements, and items missing from the park.
“Throughout this process we have really tried to engage the residents of Avon to understand what their needs and preferences are for the park,” said Eric Heidemann, assistant town manager and director of community development.
Improvements to the park are planned to take place in phases over the next three to five years.
