Avon Open House seeks input on ‘East Avon’ Design Charrette
The Town of Avon is holding a public open house Friday, July 21, between 4:30 and 6:30 in the Council Chambers to present the findings of a design charrette which has been taking place all week for an East Avon Master Plan.
The focus of this planning effort is to develop a detailed plan that will enhance economic development, pedestrian activity, transit use and circulation, while complimenting the Town Center West in efforts to create a “heart” for the community.
East Avon is the area east of Avon Road between the railroad tracks, Village at Avon, and Interstate 70.
The open house will present the findings of the charrette and represent the culmination of ideas expressed throughout the week. Both the business community and public are encouraged to attend and provide input before the Town begins the more detailed master planning effort.
