AVON ” Avon Police Department offers new electronic services on website: http://www.avonpolice.org.
The Avon Police Department would like to announce some new services that have been added to our web site that will allow the public to request police services from the convenience of their own computers.
Directed Patrol Requests: Residents who recognize a specific issue in a specific neighborhood that needs police attention may request a police officer investigate the issue.
By filing out and submitting some basic information via the website, an officer will acknowledge receipt of the request, investigate the issue and respond to the resident with results.
Vacation Watches: This service can be requested by residents or business owners who are leaving town for vacation. The police will make periodic trips by their residence or store to watch for any abnormal activity while they are away.
Miscellaneous Services: Users may request various information such as crime prevention information or information on volunteering their services to the police department.
Online Survey: The Avon Police Department is striving to better relationships in our communities. We would love to hear how we are doing, good or bad, so that we know where we need to improve or where to redirect our services.
Parking Permits: This is an easy way to request on-street parking for various events. It is a simple way to get the appropriate permission for parking along the street, which is normally prohibited in Avon.
Private Property Accident Reports: This is an easy way to report an accident on private property with out coming to the police department and filling out paperwork. The accident is reported directly to the Colorado State Patrol.
