Avon residents speak out about their park
Vail, CO Colorado
AVON, Colorado ” Peace, quiet and spectacular are among the things residents like about Nottingham Park, according to a survey conducted recently by the town.
The survey was mailed to a random selection of voters and property owners, and also was on the town’s Web site. Many who responded suggested building an amphitheater in the park.
Respondents said they also liked that the lake serves as a centerpiece to the town and that the park is a good place for family gatherings. The park’s rec paths also were popular.
Residents said upgrades should be made to the playground, the rec paths and the banks of the lake, and that no more buildings should be put in the park. Some said they will like to see more special events held there.
