AVON — The inaugural Avon Restaurant Week kicks off Wednesday in honor of the Reds, Whites & Brews weekend taking place in Avon on Saturday. Restaurant Week goes through Sunday and will feature specials from participating restaurants in and around Avon. All participating restaurants will feature a food and drink special for one or two people for a total of $20.15. Participating restaurants and specials include: one small plate and a four-beer flight at Boxcar Restaurant; herb-roasted half chicken and ribs plus a draft beer of your choice at Montana’s Smokehouse; either hangar steak or trout at Blue Plate Bistro; choice of one of three signature enchiladas entrees from Maya; any house large 18-inch″pizza and two small house salads at Pazzo’s Pizzeria; two complete lunches with two sandwiches, two bags of chips, two drinks and two desserts from the Avon Bakery & Deli.

The Reds, Whites & Brews wine and craft beer tasting festival returns to Nottingham Park in Avon on Saturday. Festival-goers can expect live music from four female sing-songwriters, a variety of tasty food and craft beer and wine samplings. The event features nearly 30 wineries brought in by Veraison Distributing and more than 20 craft breweries, as well as a variety of vendors. Pre-sale unlimited tasting tickets are $25 or upgrade to the VIP experience for $60. Ticket prices will increase the day of the event.
