Avon seeking input on Comcast cable service

Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

AVON, Colorado – The town of Avon is seeking input from residents on the quality, reliability, and offerings provided by Comcast Cable. A franchise agreement between the town of Avon and Comcast is up for renewal and will be discussed at the next Town Council meeting. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Avon Municipal Building, Town Council Chambers.-

The latest franchise agreement between the town and Comcast Cable has been in place since 1996 and will expire on Dec. 31. However, there is a provision in the agreement that allows for the service to continue on a month-to-month basis until a new agreement can be negotiated.–

Comments are welcome in advance of the Nov. 23 Town Council meeting on the town’s website at http://www.avon.org/ComcastSurvey or during the public comment period at the regular meeting which begins at 5:30 p.m.-
