Avon seminar offers Web marketing tips
Vail, CO, Colorado
Brainstorming can often be a total waste of time. It’s not that good ideas are necessarily hard to find, it’s just that when practicality meets ideas, some ideas quickly turn from possibilities to fluorescent swamp gas.
Some however, live up to expectations and that’s how the Vail Valley Partnership’s new business seminar series, “Ask the Experts,” was born. The goal was simple ” create an event that is informative, free, broad in scope and appeal, and that adds value for our members. So, on Wednesday, October 8, from 5:30 ” 7 p.m., member businesses can attend a 90-minute idea exchange with experts in the field of Internet and Web-based marketing.
Our panelists for the first event in this series are well-known “super-geeks,” Bill French of MyST Technology Partners, Betty Neal from Vail.net and Colorado.net Online Vacation Planners, Kyle Gosnell of Interactive Innovations and Leah Olson of Colorado Mountain Express.
MyST Technology Partners of Dillon has participated in the National Presentation for Search Engine Strategies, SoCAL PR Conference and the Media Relations Summit ’09. Bill French has broad expertise in social network design, advertorial marketing, Google visibility and search engine optimization.

The panel will speak to issues critical to small business, including ranking high in Google and other search engines with a long tail search strategy, participating in the blogosphere, twittersphere and the conversational Web, second-tier search, content syndication, using gadgets and designing and implementing moderated and branded social networks.
“Ask the Experts” will also provide plenty of time for questions and answers to address individual business needs and concerns. It will be fast-paced, fresh, relevant and we hope will launch a great series of events. Future topics for the monthly program will include topics including contract law, finance and accounting, commercial lending and media planning/buying.
The events will take place in the conference room at the Vail Valley Partnership ” in the Traer Creek Plaza building in Avon ” so space is limited to one attendee from each member company on a space-available basis.
