Avon summer carnival returns June 2
AVON — The summer carnival brings thrilling rides and deep fried delights to town and is an enjoyable way to support several local nonprofits.
From today through Sunday, a portion of the proceeds from the carnival in Avon will benefit Battle Mountain’s Future Business Leaders of America; Bright Future Foundation’s Buddy Mentors Program; and Samaritan Center of the Rockies.
“The carnival proceeds, which go to our client assistant fund, is just one more way that this wonderful valley supports those in need,” said Randy Simmons, Samaritan Center executive director.
Variety of Rides, Attractions
Carnival management promises that there will be a larger variety of rides and attractions, including a tower ride where riders experience a free-fall.
The carnival will take place east of City Market in Avon. Unlimited ride passes are $20 in advance and are available at the Avon Police Department, Vail Police Department, Bright Future Foundation in Avon, Marko’s Pizza in Edwards and the Samaritan Center in Edwards. Ticket sales will end this morning.
