This week marks the return of AvonLIVE!, the town’s popular summer concert series. The free shows happen every Wednesday (with the exception of July 2) between now and Labor Day Weekend at Harry A. Nottingham Park.

The location offers great sunset views and access to park amenities such as playgrounds, picnic tables, the beach, sand volleyball courts, paddle boat and standup paddle board rental equipment and more in case you want to come early and enjoy Avon.

Bring blankets and low-back lawn chairs (please note that chairs higher than 5 inches off the ground will be asked to relocate to areas that do not obstruct the view of others) and a picnic and non-alcoholic beverages. You are not allowed to bring your alcoholic beverages during AvonLIVE! events on Wednesdays because the Hahnewald Bar will be open for those over 21 years of age to purchase alcoholic beverages. Food trucks will also be on hand if you didn’t get time to bring your own eats.

Wednesday night’s schedule sees the return of the annual Battle of the Bands. Come listen to three bands who are vying for your votes with just one band being crowned the winner of 2025’s competition. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the music starts at 6 p.m. This year’s bands include:

  • The Chaotics – Vail Valley-based classic rock cover band
  • Dust Bunnies from Outer Space – EagleVail-based rock cover band
  • Pinheads – Summit and Eagle County-based punk band

This free event welcomes guests and locals alike, and the lineup is diverse enough that everyone can find a favorite band. This summer’s lineup includes:
