Avon’s annual icing on the lake is Sunday

AVON, Colorado ” The town of Avon, Colorado’s annual Icing on the Lake will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Harry A. Nottingham Park.

Families can enjoy ice skating on Nottingham Lake with $1 skate rentals and then gather around the bonfire and enjoy a cup of hot cider.

There will also be face-painting, a balloon sculptor, winter holiday crafts, and snowmobile rides for kids.

Plus, Santa will be there from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Bring a canned food item for the Salvation Army and receive a warm bowl of chili.

The entire event is free. No dogs or alcohol allowed. Ice skating availability is determined by the weather.
