VAIL, Colorado The membership drive and reception for Bach on the Rocks is Tuesday at Rick & Kellys American Bistro in Edwards from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free for anyone interested in joining Bach on the Rocks. Complimentary wine and appetizers will be served and door prizes including Liberty Skis, a years membership to the Vail Athletic Club, a Kimberleys Fine Jewelry gift card, and restaurant gift certificates will be awarded to those who join the group.Bach on the Rocks, now in its seventh year, is an organization created to introduce and attract young audience members (ages 21 to 50) to classical music through the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival. Bach on the Rocks promotes a vibrant, young professional community through various social networking events. The events provide an opportunity for members to meet and mix with other professionals in the community and are held throughout the Vail Valley in establishments such as La Tour, Terra Bistro, Rick & Kellys Bistro, Dish Restaurant, Vin48, Masters Gallery, and Fitz at Manor Vail. Complimentary wine and appetizers are served at these social events. Membership for the 2009 season is $135 on or before June 1, and $169 after June 1. Membership benefits include a lawn pass to all 18 Bravo concerts at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, access to all Bach on the Rocks social events and $10 off bottles of wine at the amphitheater. New this year is a 15 percent discount off your total purchase at West Vail Liquor Mart for Bach on the Rocks pass holders. This discount is valid all day during the days that Bach on the Rocks social events take place. Bach on the Rocks members would save $256 in concert admission alone with a pass, said Rachel Packer, director of marketing and public relations.
