Balloon artist visits Vail library
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado – Balloon artist Zany the Twister will demonstrate his own special brand of creativity Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Vail library’s community room.
Zany the Twister has been entertaining children and adults of all ages for 20 years in Colorado.
“His charismatic and wild creations have made him a premier professional performance balloon artist in Colorado, in addition to his captivating skills in magic and singing,” says balloon diva, Laura Caldwell, one of Zany’s greatest fans and his mentor. “He can teach his art to children and give them a craft they can always use and remember.”
Tuesday’s event is part of the Vail library’s summer reading program, the theme of which is “Be Creative @ Your Library.”
Parents can register children at the door any Tuesday to receive a Summer Reading Packet that includes, among other things, a reading log for documenting the time their child spends reading in order to win prizes. The summer reading program includes an hour of stories, games and art for children ages 6 to 11. Parents are welcome.
The first portion of the program is not appropriate for children younger than six. Younger children can enjoy the second half, beginning at 2:00, if they are accompanied by an adult. The event is free. For more information, call Annie or Cricket at 970-479-2179.
