Banks to stay free of debris

Daily Staff Report

VAIL ” People who own homes near Gore Creek in Vail need to get any benches or gazebos away from the stream.

The town owns virtually all the streamside property along the creek between Katsos Ranch in East Vail to Cascade Village. The town also owns land along some of Gore Creek’s tributaries. It’s illegal to add or remove landscaping from the town-owned land without permission.

Town employees will use aerial photos and will walk the streambanks, looking for anything that doesn’t belong on public property.

Once the work is done ” probably this fall ” property owners will be notified about any violations.
