Battle Mountain grad dies in New Mexico

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. – Graham Bultemeier, a 2008 graduate of Battle Mountain High School, died May 14 in a longboarding accident in Los Alamos, N.M.

According to the Los Alamos Police Department, officers were called to the scene of a skateboarding accident May 14 at about 3 p.m., at the intersection of Central and Rose, just west of downtown. An emergency medical crew was sent to the scene a few minutes later.

Bultemeier was airlifted from Los Alamos to the Christus St. Vincent medical center in Santa Fe, where he died.

According to the police report, there were no other vehicles involved in the accident, and excess speed isn’t suspected, but Bultemeier wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
