Be an exchange student!
The Vail-Eagle Valley Rotary Club is accepting applications for the Youth Exchange Program. The program, sponsored by Rotary International, is for students between the ages of 16 and 18 who have not yet graduated from high school. The program is open all students, and will take place during the 2006-2007 school year. Students are gone for a year. Cultural exchange is the focus of the program more than travel, but, students usually go sightseeing with their host families and other Rotary Exchange Students on organized tours. Rotary is an international service organization made up of local clubs. Rotary has various foreign exchange programs for both students and business leaders. Applications for the exchange program are available through the Vail-Eagle Valley Rotary Club. Call Peter Leslie, 479-0634, or Larry Agneberg, 476-2482, ext. 16. Local high school counseling offices also have applications. The application deadline is October 11. …
