Beaver Creek Demo Team headed Switzerland

BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – The men’s and women’s Beaver Creek Demo Teams are heading to Engelberg, Switzerland, on April 16 to compete in the Swiss Snow Happening event. This prestigious invitational event hosts on average 60 teams each year from around the globe.

The dedicated team of pros from Beaver Creek includes 12 men and 10 women, all of whom train early mornings three days a week in preparation for their competitions. The men are in their 14th year of demonstration competition and hold World Synchro Championship titles from 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2009. The ladies’ team, named the EPIC Chix, is back for a second season following a brief hiatus. In the 2011 Aspen World Synchro Championships they placed fourth. Both teams are competing in Aspen for the 2012 World Synchro Championships-on April 13 before heading to Switzerland.

Support for both teams is provided through sponsors. In addition to raising funds for the Beaver Creek Demo Teams, both groups also contribute to other charitable organizations, fulfilling their mission to not only promote demonstration skiing, but also to give back to the community.
