Beaver Creek gets 12 inches of new snow

BEAVER CREEK – A snowstorm delivered an early holiday treat for skiers and snowboarders today at Beaver Creek. The resort received 12 inches of snow at mid-mountain overnight.
Beaver Creek has received 97 inches of snow at mid-mountain to date this season. According to the National Weather Service, additional snow accumulation is predicted through Saturday.

Beaver Creek skiers and riders should stay tuned for the unveiling of the resort’s new expert terrain, Stone Creek Chutes. The area will offer 180 acres of short, steep gladed runs with pitches up to 45 degrees.

In Eagle County, the most commonly reported dead bird has been the Wilson’s warbler, which is yellow. Dead yellow-rumped warblers have also been a common sight.
