Beaver Creek hires ski school director
Vail, CO Colorado
BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – Beaver Creek officials announced Wednesday Jim Kercher would be the new director of the Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School.
Kercher worked for almost seven years at the ski and snowboard school and was a member of the resort’s guest services team before leaving in 2007 to work as a general manager at Alpine Meadows in California.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jim back to the Beaver Creek team,” said John Garnsey, chief operating officer for Beaver Creek Resort. “Jim is a well-respected leader who holds a wealth of knowledge not only on managing ski schools, but he has great expertise in resort operations. He’s a passionate skier who will continue to further the reputation and experience of our ski school.”
Kercher will be in charge of all operations for the adult and children’s ski and snowboard schools. He’s also been the director of the snowboard school at Breckenridge in the early 1990s and has also worked at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Copper Mountain.
“I’m very excited to return to Beaver Creek and reunite with such an incredible team,” said Jim Kercher. “It’s one of the best resorts in the world that continually sets the standard for guest service.”
Kercher will start work in mid-July.
