Beaver Creek receives top safety honor

Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – The National Ski Areas Association recently awarded Beaver Creek Resort with the Best Overall Safety Program award in the industry this year. This is the ninth National Ski Areas Association safety award bestowed on the resort.

This season, the Beaver Creek Mountain Safety Team developed a comprehensive safety program utilizing Vail Resorts’ new safety campaign, “Play It Safe, Play All Season” as an overarching theme. The campaign offered a new perspective on safety and personal accountability on the slopes. New signs, enforcement and programs were implemented throughout the ski season. Additionally, the safety team used EpicMix Photo during the winter to engage guests and promote a safer ski and ride experience. Slope safety also extends into the summer season for hikers and bikers.

Beaver Creek is one of only 13 resorts in the industry to receive a safety award this year.

According to NSAA, they “recognize those resorts that have done an outstanding job of educating employees and guests about skiing and snowboarding responsibly.”
