BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – The board of directors for the Beaver Creek Resort Company recently accepted the resignation of Executive Director Tony O’Rourke, who is moving to South Lake Tahoe in early August to serve as the city manager.

“It has been a great 14 years with Tony at the helm of Beaver Creek Resort Co., and he has brought a lot of energy, excitement and opportunity to the position,” said John Garnsey, president of the Beaver Creek Resort Company board of directors. “Although we will miss Tony, we wish him the best of luck in his new role in South Lake Tahoe.”

In the next few weeks, the board will be conducting a search for O’Rourke’s replacement. Ludwig Kurz, community relations director at Beaver Creek Resort Co., will take on the position of acting executive director. Kurz , who has served in his current role for more than 20 years, will assume all duties and responsibilities previously held by O’Rourke until the board appoints a new executive director.

Interested applicants demonstrating municipal operations and marketing and events experience should submit a resume to Beaver Creek Resort Co., Attn. Jean Dennison, P.O. Box 5390, Avon, CO 81620.
