Beaver Creek telemark workshop Sunday

BEAVER CREEK – A women’s telemark workshop will be held at Beaver Creek Sunday. The class is open to first-time, experience and expert telemark skiers.”Telemark skiing is really gaining in popularity,” said Nate Goldberg, Beaver Creek Nordic Center supervisor. “The women’s workshops are taught by female instructors and provide a positive and fun learning environment for first-timers as well as experts.”The workshop is open to women of all ages and abilities. Participants can rent equipment at a discounted rate of $28. Those renting equipment are encouraged to arrive between 8 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. to allow time for proper fitting. Each workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost for each workshop is $67 for participants with a valid lift tickets or pass, and $120 for those in need of a lift ticket. Participants should meet at the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at 8:30 a.m. on the morning of the workshop. The Vail/Beaver Creek Telemark Workshop Series is taught by Beaver Creek Ski School and Vail Ski School instructors. Co-eds workshops will be held Feb. 27 at Vail and March 5 at Vail.
