Beaver Creek to open more terrain Friday, Saturday
BEAVER CREEK — Having received 78 inches of snowfall season to date, Beaver Creek Resort announced Thursday that five additional chairlifts will open for the weekend, and more than 10 additional trails. The newly opened trails will include skiing and snowboarding for all ability levels.
“Beaver Creek has received more than 6 feet of snowfall so far this season, which is the most snow received this early since 1992,” said Doug Lovell, chief operating officer for Beaver Creek. “In addition to great early-season snow storms, cold temperatures have provided ideal conditions for snowmaking. We are thrilled to offer great snow conditions across such an extensive amount of ski terrain prior to the holidays.”
• Opening Friday: Birds of Prey Express is scheduled to open Friday, offering access to Red Tail, Goshawk, Lower Peregrine, Dally, Moonshine and Bootleg trails.
• Opening Saturday: Riverfront Express Gondola, Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express, Upper Beaver Creek Mountain Express, and Larkspur Express will be opening, offering access to beginner through expert terrain favorites such as Shooting Star, Loco, Lupine, trails within Larkspur Bowl and Leav’ the Beav’.
