Beaver Creek, Vail receive 5 inches of new snow

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” Snow continues to fall in the High Country. Five new inches of light, fluffy powder came down overnight.

Both Vail and Beaver Creek received five inches of new snow with both resorts reporting 100 percent of their trails open for snow riding.

Vail reports a 59 mid-mountain base and Beaver Creek is reporting a 66 mid-mountain base.

The forecast for the Vail Valley calls for continued snow on Monday, a heavy snow warning has been issued through Monday evening. The weather man is calling for total accumulations of between 6 and 12 inches by the end of the day Monday.
