Tuesday’s schedule of events
5 p.m.: New Year’s Eve glow stick ski-down registration starts at the Beaver Creek Ski School
6 p.m.: Load Buckaroo Gondola for glow stick ski-down
6:15 p.m.: Glow stick ski-down on Haymeadow Trail
6:30 p.m.: New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade on 1876 Trail
6:45 p.m.: Fireworks display on the plaza
8 p.m. to 1 a.m.: New Year’s Eve Family Carnival at McCoy’s Café and Bar at Ford Hall
10 p.m.: First balloon drop
Midnight: Second balloon drop
BEAVER CREEK — Beaver Creek begins the New Year with fireworks and the third annual New Year’s Eve Family Bash this evening. The glow stick ski-down and torchlight parade starts the night off at 6:15 p.m., and the Beaver Creek fireworks show follows at 6:45 p.m.
The New Year’s Eve Family Bash celebration will entertain all ages after the fireworks, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., at McCoy’s Cafe and Bar in Ford Hall.
Glow stick ski-down
The New Year’s Eve glow stick ski-down allows skiers and snowboarders to wind their way down the Hay Meadow trail back to the base area in the dark holding glow sticks. The glow stick ski-down is open to intermediate and above level skiers and riders.

TORCHLIGHT PARADE AND FIREWORKS
The torchlight parade takes place on 1876 trail at 6:30 p.m. Professional skiers and riders will ride to the top of the Centennial Express Lift and make their way down carrying a fire-lit torch. This event is set to music and concludes with a fireworks display.
New Year’s Eve Family Bash
At 8 p.m., after the fireworks, guests can head inside of McCoy’s for the New Year’s Eve Family Bash. This is a special family-friendly event designed for all ages. Entertainment will include a DJ, dancing, raffle prizes, two balloon drops with one at 10 p.m. and one at midnight, games, activities, snacks, drinks and adult beverages.
Tickets for the New Year’s Eve Family Bash are $40 for ages 6 and older. Kids 5 and younger are free. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.BeaverCreek.com.
