Beers celebrated in Vail Sunday

VAIL, Colorado – Beers from around the world will be celebrated in honor of Oktoberfest from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, at the Marketplace on Meadow Drive Wine Shop in Vail. Garett Lyon with Elite Brands will be on hand to sample four beers for the tasting event: a Bavarian wheat, an Italian amber, a Belgian brown ale and an organic apple cider from Michigan. “The selection for this week is perfect for fall events like Oktoberfest and football games,” said Kristen Fannin, sommelier for the Wine Shop at Marketplace on Meadow Drive. “We’ve really enjoyed welcoming in our locals and visitors alike for these festive Sunday tastings.”The tasting will occur during Vail’s Farmers’ Market. The tasting is free and reservations are not required. Parking is located at the Vail Transportation Center, where the parking is free. Marketplace on Meadow Drive is located in Vail Village, at the corner of Meadow Drive and Willow Bridge Road, just west of the International Bridge.
