Believers of all faiths unite in Avon

AVON, Colorado ” On Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Transformation Prayer Summit will be held at The Vail Church, 39209 Hwy 6, in Avon. The event is free, includes lunch and is open to everyone. The program will begin with music by The Second Chance Band, feature the Saving Grace Quartet, workshops, prayer sessions and testimonies by those who have experienced firsthand the power of prayer in their lives. The Colorado State Coordinator for the National Day of Prayer will share how prayer is transforming our communities spiritually and economically. Prayer is a powerful weapon and we will learn how to stay plugged in to that power source so we can stay strong and courageous no matter the storms occurring around us.

This unique event was the inspiration of Dr. Diane Dike, Eagle County coordinator for the National Day of Prayer and president of the non-profit organization, Second Chance with Saving Grace. Dike’s hope is to bring “unity to the community” during these difficult times.

“If you want to be renewed, restored and transformed by an experience with God come … now is the time,” Dike said.

Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas, with a specific need for photographers and a videographer to capture the event. contact Dr. Dike at DianeDike@aol.com for further information or to volunteer your services. Visit http://www.DianeDike.org for more information.
