Benefit for Minturn couple Saturday

MINTURN ” Frances and Isaac Renner, who have lived in Minturn more than 40 years, are still recovering from a January car crash.

Isaac Renner, a former employee of the New Jersey Zinc Mine, has had surgery on his right eye but doctors do not know if he will regain his vision. Frances, who has worked throughout the valley, including at the Red Lion and the Gashouse, broke her sternum in the crash and has also undergone surgery.

The benefit is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, at the Gourmet Cowboy in Minturn. A $5 donation will be requested at the door. There will be homemade Mexican food, a raffle and silent auction.

An account also has been set up for the Renners at FirstBank under the names of Donna and Art Chavez.
