Berry Creek to host cotillion lessons
Vail, CO Colorado
EDWARDS, Colorado – Berry Creek Middle School students will have another opportunity to participate in cotillion lessons.
Beginning Jan. 4, Colin Meiring, artistic director for the Vail Performing Arts Academy, will lead 12 weeks of cotillion classes for 350 students at the school. The classes will present basic dance steps in a variety of styles, including foxtrot, waltz, salsa, tango and swing.
“Dancing emulates life in many ways,” Meiring said. “My goal is to inspire the students through teaching dance, so that they will learn the invaluable skills of a strong partnership.”
The cotillion classes begin with a presentation on Dec. 14, followed by a weekly class from Jan. 4 – March 22.
Berry Creek Middle School is grateful to have developed a strong relationship with Vail Performing Arts Academy.
“We are thrilled to have someone of Colin’s caliber teach our students,” said Narda Reigel, life management skills Teacher at Berry Creek Middle School. “The enthusiasm that Colin offers combined with his love for dance will have such a positive influence on all of our students.”
