The Red Lion

Main Street Grill

Want proof that The Red Lion is a local’s joint? B-I-N-G-O. “We’ve really worked hard on becoming a locals’ place,” said owner Phil Long. “From giving them a 20 per discount to all the sport programming that we do, I think it comes down to Bingo Night.” Bingo? “That’s the kind of sport’s people we are.” Sully is the game master, and he’s brought in all kinds of game-oriented nights during the off season. “We have the Monday Night Football, we have all the sports packages, so people can count on every game.” But locals converge on Vail Village year-round, and Clam Chowder Fridays doesn’t hurt.

Located in Edwards, Main Street Grill is certainly a locals’ joint. The restaurant and bar are usually filled with people who know each other. Drink specials are all well and good, but let’s face it: The sassy bartenders are the real draw, and they remember not only what you’re drinking but your name, too. Across the way at e|town, sports programming is a way of life. Afraid of missing a play? Don’t worry, there’s a flat screen in the bathroom. Famous for their wings and margaritas, nothing quite says home like people who served both… with style.
