Oktoberfest is fraught with beers, bratwursts and plenty of dancing.

In the Vail Valley Oktoberfest comes but thrice a year. That’s right: Locals are such big fans of the festival celebrating beer, brats and music ” not to mention keg bowling and accordions ” they support three weekends of oompahlicious festivities. First Beaver Creek, then Lionshead and finally Vail Village plays host to the festival.

The Vail International Dance Festival has consistently grown in depth and scope for the past few years. Companies-in-residence, talented soloists, experimental artists and more visit the valley for the 2-week festival.

Vail Film Festival might be the newest kid on the block, but it has garnered international attention. Shorts, documentaries, concerts, panels and more mean for one eventful week Vail has some serious movie mania.

During the summer months, Bravo! and its three resident orchestras offers the best picnicking opportunity around. There’s nothing like listening to Mozart while the alpenglow emerges.
