Best of Vail Valley nominations process open; voting starts Sept. 5
Visit www.vaildaily.com/bestofvail2018 by Wednesday, Aug. 29, to nominate your favorite businesses for the annual Best of Vail Valley. The voting period will be Wednesday, Sept. 5 through Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Each year, the Vail Daily asks you — readers from near and far — to choose the Best of Vail Valley, and the nominating process for 2018 is open now through Wednesday, Aug. 29.
The annual readers’ choice program includes a nomination period, voting period and an event in October celebrating those organizations and businesses that have been named Best of Vail Valley.
The Best of Vail Valley magazine, with results also online and on social media platforms, features the top three winners in 99 categories, as voted by readers.
Categories fall under entertainment and diversions; food and drink; retail; and services. From best pot shop products to best happy hours, the Best of Vail Valley will recognize local businesses and provide a resource for people who are looking for where to go, what to do and where to shop.
In 2017, the Best of Vail voting received more than 27,000 votes.
The Best of Vail 2018 nominations and voting schedule is as follows:
Nominations: Currently underway through Wednesday, Aug. 29.
Voting: Wednesday, Sept. 5, through Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Print date: Monday, Oct. 8.
Celebratory event: Week of Oct. 15.

Skyla M. Piccolo-Labbs, 23, William C. Ellifritz, 26, and Brooke L. Forquer, 21, all from Craig, were arrested on one count each of first-degree murder and booked into the Routt County Jail around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.
