Wags N Whiskers
The cat’s out of the bag. At Wags N Whiskers, they’ve got the pet scene dialed in. “Our specialty is trying to be responsive to our customers,” said Beth Ruark, who owns the shop with her husband, Mark, a.k.a. the dog whisperer. Beth has become an expert at taking pets’ well-loved, “unfindable” toys that need replacing, and tracking them down. The shop deals exclusively with all things canine and feline: food, treats, training supplies and more.
You won’t find doggy dresses at Pet Spot in Edwards. “We’re not a boutique,” said Kathryn Rose, who owns the shop with Tracy Hearder. “We’re more functional ” a common sense pet supply place.” They strive to compete with the big box stores on prices, and to keep the functionality to a maximum. Pawsitivily Purrfect keeps the cats and dogs down valley well dressed with boutique items. Locally-made dog beds are also on sale.
