About Big Mountain Enduro
Big Mountain Enduro is the premier Enduro series in North America. This popular international format of mountain bike racing encourages spectators and sponsors alike to catch the action. For the racers, it’s about finding the best all-around trail rider than can tackle any type of terrain, the fastest.
VAIL — A new addition to the GoPro Mountain Games last year, the MTN Enduro race, is going to new heights in its second year when the annual Mountain Games return June 8 through June 10.
The Vail Valley Foundation and Big Mountain Enduro Tuesday announced that the GoPro MTN Enduro race will be a stop on North America’s premier Enduro series when the event gets underway June 9 in Eagle.
One day, four stages and 4,000 vertical feet will put riders to the test in the second annual Mountain Games Enduro race, which also carries a $10,000 prize purse.
Top riders from the Big Mountain Enduro tour are expected to join riders including Brian Lopes, Chris Del Bosco, Olympic medalist Georgia Gould and last year’s pro winners Katie Compton and Alex Mcguinnis, along with hundreds of other riders of all ages and abilities.
“The GoPro Mountain Games are one of the most well-known, well-loved events in mountain sports, so it makes great sense for us to get involved and help grow this event,” said Big Mountain Enduro managing director Brandon Ontiveros in a press release. “Colorado is a fantastic place to be in early June and we’re looking forward to a beautiful day at the GoPro MTN Enduro in one of the state’s best mountain biking venues.”
